FAQ

Q1)

Is the proximity sensor of my headset going to keep the screen on when it's stored on a cybust stand?

A1)

No. For PlaystationVR, make sure you turn the headset off by pressing the power button after use. For HTCvive, the headset will automatically go to sleep after 15 seconds of inactivity. For Oculus Rift, make sure you quit the Oculus Home application to turn off your headset.

Q2)

Will a cybust stand stretch the straps of my headset?

A2)

No. Our stands are designed at 95% the size of an average human cranium, precisely to prevent stretching of the straps.

Q3)

My headset is front-heavy. Is it going to tip over when placed on a cybust?

A3)

No. A cybust weighs 4.5 pounds and most of it is in the steel base. Your headset is safe on it.

Q4)

Why is a cybust stand better than a cheaper solution, like a glass head?

A4)

A cybust stand has an opaque surface, preventing sun rays from hitting the lens of your headset, which will act as a magnifying glass and could burn your screen. The wide base of the cybust stand is also much sturdier than the round opening at the bottom of the glass head.

Q5)

How do I keep my cybust clean?

A5)

To remove dust, a simple damp cloth will do the trick. To get rid of sweat marks, simply add a little soapy water to a cloth and gently dab the surface.

Q6)

What is a cybust stand made of?

A6)

The head form is hand-made of fibreglass while the base is premium, solid steel. It stands on a felt pad to protect your furniture from being damaged.

Q7)

Can my cybust get scratched during shipping?

A7)

No. Every cybust we ship is packaged in clear bubble-wrap.

Q8)

Do you ship outside of the U.S. and Canada?

A8)

Unfortunately not at the moment. We plan to hit the EU market but we don not have a precise timeline to communicate at this time.
